Tucked away in the trees at Titirangi, singer songwriter, Jocelyn Aydon, creates ‘songs from the heart’ based on her life, adventures, people, places and experiences.
Jocelyn began her musical journey in and around the Wellington scene in the mid-1970s with a 12-month stint, five nights a week at the popular Grand Hotel on Willis Street and later became featured vocalist with Mike Reilly’s Grand Country Band.
Jocelyn also appeared on TV1s “Country Touch” as a member of the Country Touch Singers, who sang backup vocals and supported various guest artists, including Kenny Rogers and The First Edition.
Jocelyn’s songs reflect her life in West Auckland, the people she meets on her travels, and her love of the beach and bush. She supports various local music events such as Titirangi Festival of Music, the RSA Open Mic Jam Nights and Davies Bay Music Festival. When not writing and performing herself, Jocelyn enjoys filming musicians performing live and curating a bespoke video archive.
